How important is it to connect your product to customer needs?
Asked by Javier Torres "Your product becomes infinitely more valuable Identifying customer needs creates immense value for a product/service by genuinely speaking to customers' frustrations and pain points. It is one of the easiest yet most clever ways to align your business with your customer's specific needs. Additionally, it allows your business to grow by understanding the audience and anticipating their needs. Customers are less likely to part ways with brands that meet their every requirement. As a result, salespeople become more confident as their product/service aligns with the customer's expectations before asking for a new solution. By connecting your product to your customers, your business can retain and attract new customers by integrating the knowledge of your customer's needs into new and existing campaigns."
How do you identify the wants vs. the needs of your client? And how can that benefit you and your client?
Asked by Justin Dees "Ask your customer what their needs are It sounds straightforward but to truly identify the buyer's needs, you need to ask questions to understand how your customers' shop. This is the same reason salespeople use the SPIN process to discover customer needs and effectively tailor their sales approach to experience more relevancy and success. The more critical want is to understand the need behind the need. Understanding why customers buy what they buy can certainly help you discern the wants from the needs by basing your questions on the customer's motivation to purchase certain products. Of course, as a salesperson, you cannot confidently predict all of the customers' needs and wants; however, listening to what your customers say about their needs is arguably more beneficial and valuable than their inherent wants."
Why first impressions matter so much?
Asked by Cephas Karanja "The moment you make your first impression, all perception of yourself will be ingrained in your customer's decisions Every first impression matters as they all lead to quick assumptions and judgments of one another. It's a common misconception, that making a positive first impression will lead to social cohesion whereas bad first impressions will lead to biases and prejudice. Where some of those conceptions are not inaccurate, all first impressions, however, are biased and can always feel superficial and forced. However, there is substance to this as it does affect how customers will interpret your company's perception and influence how they make their decisions. The reason why first impressions matter so much is that even the minute details such as body language and your appearance can ultimately have an effect on how your customer perceives you, the company you represent, and your entire attitude for the duration of the meeting. This is why many sales representatives, as a means to mitigate negative bias, will immediately make a positive appearance: making eye contact, smiling sincerely, greeting the customer, and showing undivided attention. Your attitude is also one of the most important factors that can determine your sales performance and display confidence to your customer. In addition, non-verbal cues such as posture, fidgeting, and dress appearance are also factors that can influence and distort the perception of oneself."
What do you think about society getting more and more digital for the future?
Asked by Anonymous "The digital future is inevitable, and so are the problems that come with it Society becoming more digitally connected than ever ultimately sounds like a digital dystopia, but is ultimately inevitable. We've seen the shift from the industrial economy to utilizing modernized information systems and internet communications, making selling and marketing between consumers more and more valuable. Now in the present, we have ideas of a ""Metaverse"" that is poised to reshape the world again by opening up new possibilities to rethink the work environment as well as imbue the digital world with new levels of social connectedness, mobility, and collaboration with a world of augmented reality. However, the digital changes that are inherently shifting how we conduct business are not without their flaws. For example, as vast amounts of data are collected and stored companies and businesses must be able to securely manage this data and the privacy of its users. So as companies move forward with solutions to improve customer service, increase productivity and efficiency, reduce costs, etc. They must also be wary of how they want to interpret user data and deal with compliance issues whilst respecting customers' privacy and autonomy. So there is obviously a lot of good that will happen, it is how we as a society are cautious about the challenges and trade-offs technology may present in return."
Should companies invest their money on TikTok "influencers"?
Asked by Leivy Alvarado "Companies can and should invest their money on influencers The process of investing money into these “TikTok” influencers is called Influencer Marketing. It is an extremely effective way to reach a massive audience, reporting to have a substantial investment in these campaigns. However, the problem with any investment into Influencer Marketing, like with all marketing failures, is that simply endorsing a product isn't always enough. Even with influencers with many followers may not result in an automatic return on a companies' investment. That's why Ocean Spray seized the moment for a significant marketing moment after the video of user @420doggface208 drinking Ocean Spray went viral—allowing the marketing team from Ocean Spray to use this moment of authenticity to engage with their consumers without having to create a marketing model or assessment. The video's virality resulted in an upswing of Ocean Spray demand and saw increased sales at local supermarkets and stores. Obviously, these moments wouldn't occur for all companies, so companies should be smart in selecting an influencer who can promote their products rather than invest their money on influencers with a limited audience."
